– King William Association

Rich in history, culture, art and beauty, the King William Cultural Arts District is the perfect blend of San Antonio’s heritage, bringing together the old with the new. Located in our District are some of San Antonio’s oldest homes, historic sites and incredible artistic highlights. In July of 2011 the King William neighborhood was designated a Cultural Arts District by the Texas Commission on the Arts.

Locals as well as those on vacation in San Antonio can stroll along the our tree-lined streets on a self-guided walking tour to experience our community firsthand. You can visit the studios and galleries of the many artists who live and work at the Blue Star Arts Complex and throughout the neighborhood. Take in a theatrical play, dance performance or outdoor film screening. How about gathering your friends and family together for a concert or picnic along the banks of the San Antonio River? In April, plan to come experience the art, music and food of our annual King William Fair, a local favorite. There are so many things to see and do in the King William District! Come be a part of the fun and experience Art and Culture like never before in our unique and delightful neighborhood!

The King William Historic District is located just south of downtown San Antonio, Texas, about 1 mile from the Alamo, on the Mission Trail Corridor.  Street boundaries are E. Durango, S. Flores, S. Alamo, Eagleland and S. Presa.   The District is managed by the King William Association, with guidance from a steering committee composed of artists and neighborhood residents.
