Visit the Edward Steves Homestead Museum

The Edward Steves Homestead was built in 1876.  It sits on the bank of the San Antonio River in the King William Cultural Arts District.  In 1952, the property was donated to the San Antonio Conservation Society and it’s been maintained  as a historic house museum since 1954.  The River House, located at the rear of the property, had an early indoor swimming pool.  Flooring has been laid and it now serves as a meeting room.  The property also has a carriage house and servants quarters that can be viewed.  It is open 10:00am to 4:15pm daily.
